After the success of her first single off Welcome Back, “V.I.P.”, —that reached over 7.400 visits on Youtube— we can now enjoy “Oh Baby”, that will sure have the same impact (if not bigger) on listeners.
Welcome Back, released on September 25th, is the return of the Barcelonian artist to the successful nineties R&B. This second single, “Oh Baby”, produced by American producer/songwriter Frankie Biggz, is a midtempo song that IreneB dedicates to those who miss this genre as much as she does.
The Spaniard songbird recently admitted in an interview that she feels way more related to those days’ music than today’s, probably because it is the one that marked the beginning of her career. She also admitted that with this song, she’s trying to counteract the dance that’s gaining ground to the most pure contemporary R&B. However, she doesn’t totally disagree with the dance industry, putting out a dance remix of “Oh Baby” for the club lovers together with the original version on this single, that will be available for purchase on November 15th.
As a curious factor, it is interesting to note that IreneB filmed a snippet video for this second single, that has already received over 16.000 visits on Youtube, thanks to which both IreneB and her producer Frankie Biggz got sponsored by the prestigious phone company Nokia and filmed a commercial that you can see at Nokia’s official website.
